Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Teaching and Learning Studies (JTLS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal has a zero tolerance policy toward plagiarism and all forms of research misconduct.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process.

Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, self plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of publication misconduct may be rejected without external review.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The submitted manuscript is original.

  • All sources are appropriately cited and acknowledged.

  • Quoted or reproduced material is clearly identified.

  • Necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted materials.

  • The manuscript has not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal.

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism or other ethical concerns are identified before publication, the manuscript may be rejected or returned to the authors for explanation or revision.

If misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal may publish a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Ethical Standards

JTLS follows the ethical principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and research integrity.
