For Authors

Thank you for considering the Journal of Teaching and Learning Studies (JTLS) for the publication of your research. Before submitting a manuscript, authors are encouraged to review the journal's Aims and Scope, Publication Ethics, and Submission Guidelines.

Scope

JTLS publishes high quality empirical, theoretical, methodological, review, and meta analytical studies that contribute to teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, educational technology, teacher education, educational psychology, and related interdisciplinary fields. Manuscripts should provide a clear theoretical foundation, sound methodology, and a meaningful contribution to educational research and practice.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be prepared using the official JTLS Manuscript Template and conform to APA 7th Edition. Submissions must be written in clear English and anonymized for double blind peer review. Author information should be provided only on the Title Page.

Peer Review

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, quality, ethical compliance, and formatting. Suitable manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers under a double blind peer review process. The final publication decision rests with the Editor in Chief.

Publication Ethics

JTLS follows the ethical principles and guidelines of COPE. The journal does not consider manuscripts involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, citation manipulation, authorship misconduct, or simultaneous submission. All manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

Research Ethics

Studies involving human participants must have approval from an appropriate ethics committee where required. Authors should report ethical approval, informed consent procedures, and measures taken to protect participant confidentiality.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions to the study. All authors must approve the submitted manuscript and accept responsibility for its content.

Artificial Intelligence

Authors must disclose any use of generative AI or AI assisted technologies during manuscript preparation. AI tools may assist with language editing or formatting but cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to retain and, where appropriate, share research data, materials, and analysis procedures. A Data Availability Statement is recommended.

Conflict of Interest and Funding

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and all sources of research funding. If none exist, this should be explicitly stated in the manuscript.

Publication Fee

JTLS currently does not charge any submission, processing, or publication fees.
