Use Of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools Policy

The Journal of Teaching and Learning Studies (JTLS) supports the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI assisted technologies in accordance with internationally accepted standards of research integrity and publication ethics.

Authors may use AI assisted technologies for purposes such as language editing, translation, coding assistance, data organization, visualization, literature management, and manuscript preparation. Any use of AI must be disclosed in the manuscript.

The disclosure should include:

• The name of the AI tool used;
• The purpose of its use;
• The stage(s) of the research or manuscript preparation in which it was used.

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted content, including any material generated or assisted by AI technologies. AI generated content must be carefully reviewed and verified before submission.

AI systems, chatbots, and automated tools cannot be listed as authors or co authors. Authorship requires intellectual contribution, accountability, and ethical responsibility, which can only be fulfilled by human authors.

The use of AI to fabricate, falsify, manipulate, or misrepresent research data, images, citations, references, participant information, or any other scholarly content constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics and may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, notification of relevant institutions, or other editorial actions.

Reviewers and editors should not upload confidential manuscripts, peer review reports, or unpublished data to publicly accessible AI systems unless confidentiality and data protection can be fully ensured.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to request additional information or clarification regarding the use of AI assisted technologies at any stage of the submission, peer review, or publication process.
